Evening Concerts this week
The first evening concert is on April 23 at St. Mary's Cathedral and will feature Suzanne Nance, President and CEO of All Classical Portland. She has prepared a selection of songs ranging from German Lieder by Schubert to a classic American Musical ballad by Sondheim. Suzanne is a wonderful singer, who communicates so much emotion through her singing and stage presence. You don't want to miss this performance.
After that, we have a concert in SE Portland at Mt. Scott Presbyterian Church on April 24. Works by Martinu, Schumann and Vivaldi are on the program.
And on Friday, April 26, we will be in the Rose City Park neighborhood in NE Portland at the German American Society. Works by Moszkowski, Akiho and Schubert are on the program. The piece by Akiho features a steel pan — played by the composer himself! You've got to catch this one.
And remember — all the concerts are free.
See you soon.
